At the age of 80 (81 now)I suddenly felt the need to exercise. Since I spend hours out in my garden shoveling dirt around, I figured that probably counted as enough physical exercise for an old guy. Still, I thought maybe I should be doing more.
Then along came AI and I got curious. Since July of 2025 I have been exercising my brain trying to learn a little about AI image generation, AI video generation, and all the craziness that comes along with it. I started reading AI newsletters, watching YouTube tutorials, experimenting with prompts, and slowly trying to absorb bits and pieces of it.
One thing became very apparent during this adventure — I can't remember squat.
I started reading about memory loss. Scary stuff. Especially when you start paying attention to little changes in yourself and the people around you. Some people swear by over-the-counter memory supplements. I'm skeptical. But strangely enough, the more I exercise my brain learning AI, the better I seem to feel mentally.
At present I am proud to report that I can now remember at least 50% of where the qwerty keys are located.
Since then I have created AI images, cinematic video experiments, panoramic scenes, animated sequences, galleries, and enough strange visual projects to completely fill up two 500 gig SSD hard drives. Somewhere in the middle of all this, I also found myself returning to old-fashioned HTML web design again after being away from it for decades.
This website is really just my personal playground — part experiment, part entertainment, part nostalgia trip, and part proof that an old dog can still learn a few new tricks.
